Our manufacturing facilities are located in China, à Changzhou where we've been working with the same supplier for 10 years.

    At Plaids Cocooning, we'd rather let wild felines run free on the savannah than see them transformed into coats (and let's face it, catching them would be a bit tricky...). Our long black fur coat is 100% faux fur, but not just any faux fur! We're talking luxury faux furas soft and silky as the real thing, but with no remorse. We've even added a little magic: subtle reflections that imitate to perfection the coat of a real black panther. (Well, we haven't managed to reproduce the purring yet, but we're working on it!)

    So go for responsible elegance with our black fur coat, and let the animals go about their business (like napping in the sun or chasing gazelles).

  • Is the long black coat waterproof or water-resistant?

    Let's just say that our black coat isn't afraid of a few drops of rain, but it won't jump into the water with gusto either! In other words, it'll stand up to a light shower or a few snowflakes, but if you're planning to swim across the English Channel, we'd advise you to opt for a more suitable outfit (and perhaps revise your itinerary). Faux fur has the magical ability to glide over water like an ice rink (in miniature, of course). So if you find yourself in a light rain, don't panic! Your black fur coat will act as an anti-moisture shield. But be warned: we're not talking about foolproof waterproofing here. If you find yourself in the middle of a tropical storm, you'd better get out the umbrella (or run for cover!).

    To sum up, our long black coat is water-resistant, but not completely waterproof.
